Hope it works out, looks like an interesting title
Loved the original ones on Playstation, however I think this sort of game could benefit greatly from proper physics model. People falling off bikes, getting hit by trucks and so on.
I played the one that came out on pc, it was really something. I loved that you could kick other dudes into the oncoming traffic, or onto the sidewalk where they'd run over all the people.
I still remember trying to avoid a senior person crossing the road and the police beat me right into her path.
Source code? Awesome!
For one, that "real time footage" in the kickstarter video looks a hell of a lot like that pre-rendered fake Road Rash footage that was floating around a while ago. Two, why in the hell does the $3000 donation have perks that the $5000 donation specifically doesn't get? three, why is one of the rewards the open beta? Isn't the open beta ya know, open? Road Rash 64 is one of my favorite games of all time and I was sperging all over myself when i saw this thread but, yeahhh...This doesn't look good.
I'm a bit wary of unity, and some parts like the special effects on the video looked fake as hell (like not rendered in the game, like edits you see in jontron style reviews), but I will still hold some small hope.
When he kicked the dude into the truck, that was badass as fuck.
This game has online multiplayer, right?
