I've found that 10fastfingers.com isn't a good judge of WPM. It mostly uses very short words and therefore people get much higher WPM there than say; typeracer.com.
So I recommend using typeracer instead. Those test are much more realistic and say more about the typer's ability.
I'm a slow typer myself, but these kind of sites are good for training. I'm thinking of learning DVORAK and do some training on it from time to time. I'm not using the correct handset when typing (hence my slowness, but if I'm going to restructure to using the correct handset it might as well be with DVORAK.
