Ever since about 2 months ago my computer has began overheating. I'm not sure why or what is causing it, but I think it is my PSU about to die. I have a 500 watt power supply and here are my specs. Is that too hot? Can anyone give me some tips on cooling your pc? Anything else is greatly appreciated.
When was the last time you blew out the dust? I did mine the other week and saw a good amount of temp drop.
I also suggest dusting the insides. I sprayed mine with a can of compressed air and noticed a good 20C degree drop in CPU temp. Also, make sure to get everything out of the heatsink.
I cleaned out my CPU, and my GPU going at 70 degrees is normal. I don't believe it's software based, but my RAM could be going bad... I mean it's shit anyways. Can anyone else give me any tips to solving this?
70 isnt really that bad for a gpu under heavy load. But annyways: -Dust out heatsing properly -Get new thermal paste -Improve case airflow.
