upgrading from 4670, would 5xxx or 6xxx fit my case

my case is that of a dell dimension e521, my processor is an athalon 64x 5600 2.9GHz (can i overclock that?), the 4670 has 1 gb ddr3 ram, and i want to upgrade my ram as well to 3 or 4 gb from 2
also, does anyone know of a 1080p/i (whichever one is higher res) that's reliable but kind of cheap, with a vgi or hdmi port

would there be any bottlenecking

Give us a budget and we can choose you a good card. You'll need to measure the inside of your case to see if the card'll fit. A 6850 should fit in most cases but the fan exhaust in your case looks like it may block the PCI-E so you may have to adjust it

i wont be needing a new monitor now, and the ram isnt included in that
