I know you can disable most of the services on XP, but what are the necesary services? Kthanksbye
I suggest just using gamebooster, it will stop all the unnecessary stuff when you start it, and you can always easily revert.
msconfig>hide all Microsoft products and feel free to uncheck things that aren't obviously related to MS or hardware
^ What John said. But do be aware, that all the services that you want disabled are not going to be there. Depending what you use, turn these off: Themes (Unless you use Fisher Price (Luna), turn this off. Do note: Explorer.exe will use less resources if its using cicero (classic)) Windows Time ( Updates your time) Windows Zero Config (Windows Wireless Client) Print Spooler (Disable this if you don't print ANYTHING) Theres a bunch, go ahead and look at services.msc (Put that into the "run" prompt). Make sure you're using the extended view, so it can tell you. If you got any doubts, post em up here!
