• Should I switch classes while I still can? I'm worried I might not be able to pass my math class.

My college algebra teacher is terrible and I'm not confident I can pass the class as things currently stand. All she does is hand us worksheets to do in groups, then gives us the answers the next day. She doesn't explain the material or provide us with a "practice test." She also assigns lots of homework, which would be fine if I weren't working three jobs. I try to get to college early in the morning to do my math homework in the tutoring room, but my schedule makes that difficult. I get off work at 11:30 PM, get home at 12:15 AM, then stay up doing laundry until about 1:00 AM, then wake up the next morning at 5:30 AM to study. Since it's still early in the semester, I can still transfer to another class for free with no penalty. I also haven't bought the math book yet, since I am still using the 14-day free trial for the e-book. I'm confident that I can catch up on any class that I transfer to and I always have the option of transferring to a gym class, since I still need one more physical education credit. If I transfer to another class, I can take college algebra in the fall instead. Also, if I take my math class in the fall, then I will most likely be able to take it with my former intermediate algebra professor, who was great and really taught me a lot about the material. I also plan on only working one job in the fall, as I realize now that working three jobs and taking a math class (alongside other classes) at the same time is incredibly difficult. I also don't have the option of transferring to another math class this semester, because the only open classes left are taught by the same teacher I have now (not an option) or are during my other classes. What do you guys think, should I transfer to another class that I know I will pass?
Just move to the gym class (or whatever other class you may want to choose) and take another math next semester. I made the same mistake last semester and got a shit math teacher. Unfortunately I was too late to drop so I got a W on my transcript but that shit doesn't matter unless you get stacks of 'em. Do your research before taking a math class or you'll end up getting a shit grad student with a thick asian accent as a teacher.
gym class in college? i was talking to a friend who was having a similar problem (though he was more worried about loosing his scholarship) if you really believe you can't pass the class then you should get out while you can, i was in a class last semester, even though i understood the material i could not pass the professor's tests at all, was getting 100% on homework, 40% on tests, mathmatically i could not pass the class so i had to drop and retake it, now i have to spend my entire summer down at my college doing the 2nd level of this class which is only offered in the spring/summer, but hey if you want the degree you have to work for it, this'll be my 3rd summer straight taking 6 hours of credits, not that any company i've interviewed for cares about that level of commitment. it also sounds like you just don't have nearly enough time to devote to a math class, i'm not advocating quitting your jobs but really you do need to devote a fair bit of time to studying, two hours ontop of 5 hours of sleep isn't going to work out ever. i am not trying to be offensive, and i am speaking from a relatively privlaged position not needing to work full time durring the fall/spring, but i did work very late hours in the summer while balancing classes and that was tough on 5 hours of credits. i have a brother who's in his 7th year of college because he's chosen to work 40+ hours a week AND do school, and he's failed so many classes because he doesn't have the energy or time to do both.
