Ive Just upgraded my gfx card from a 560 gtx to a 670, and my PC is taking like 1 minute to boot now, any idea how I can fix this? It used to be like 15 seconds.. Specs: Windows 8 Pro 64bit i5 3570K, Nvidia 670 8GB RAM Samsung 840 SSD Seagate barracuda 500gb 650w OCZ PSU Z77 D3H motherboard
Is it posting that takes a while or? Did you update the drivers?
Yea on post, basically stays on my BIOS screen for like a minute then goes into windows. Done it without gfx drivers installed and on the restart after installing them. Optimized my SSD using provided software but for now I have turned off my PC so will see later if it boots up any different. I looked around google and some people seem to say it could be a BIOS or something updating but I have the most recent :\
You have the lastest bios update or what? :S
Latest BIOS yep. I tried unplugging all USB devices and using a PS/2 keyboard to try and get in BIOS but it still don't work so I'm thinking the system is hanging on my BIOS screen then eventually loads windows.
Sorry for double post but if anyone finds this thread on google or whatever, I fixed this by flashing my BIOS to the latest firmware & reinstalled Windows in the process. I did have to put my old GFX card in though to do it all because I tried reinstalling Windows with my new card in but it just got stuck on a black screen with a flashing _
