I had a feeling that a fuckton of articles would come up.
As much as I think a special edition of skyrim is silly, the one thing mods can't add is a 64 bit version of the executable, something that skyrim players need if they do heavy modding.
Granted skyrim was a fantastic game. I think this whole "skyrim remastered" bit is just dumb as hell. Sure now consoles will get to enjoy 2k, 4k textures, parallaxing, AO, better volumetric lighting and clouds and all that. But bethesda and continually proven with Fallout4, Skyrim HD DLC is that their detail levels are absolute crap, are poorly optimized and are generally poor at best.
I would rather see Bethesda take some hints on city design from Witcher 3, and a complete revamp of their AI and buggy as hell engine. Lets hope for 64b and better multithreading for papyrus
If you have all the dlc,the SE upgrade is free. Soooo

i feel like skyrim had in no way reached the levels of appreciation oblivion had, which i suppose is sort of my own personal feelings leaking in since i really disliked skyrim, but absolutely loved oblivion
oblivion remastered would've been amazing

The reason why they wouldn't do either III or IV is because assets would need to be brought up to snuff, and both games aren't on the creation engine so that shit wouldn't be as cheap to port. (and you'd probably have to pay for it even if you owned the games)

While yes it would be amazing, they would have to put more dev time in, which since this is just a filler game until they publish Dishonored 2 and Prey with Arkane, it isn't really an option.
That being said, Oblivion without potato faces would be rad.

plus if i'm completely honest i really don't trust bethesda with bringing them up to snuff without fucking it up in some way
it'd take a lot of work to please the hardcore fans of those games, and it simply isn't worth the possible disappointment.
