I've tried googling this and none of the suggestions have worked so far. So I'm just wondering if any of you guys have run into the same problem and if you have discovered the solution.
My google chrome browser seems to output no sound, although other browsers are fine. I've tried reinstalling chrome, altering my registry and some other stuff. My problems occured after I replaced my explorerframe.dll file in system32 to install a new 3rd party theme (I'm on windows 7 btw), but even after restoring the original, it doesn't seem to work anymore.
I would use other browsers but I'm partial to chrome, and opera has issues playing some videos. So I'm pretty much out of ideas. Can anyone help?
im sorry son
you'll have to use internet explorer
Maybe safari or firefox?

Oh god. Don't use Safari. Particularly on Windows, that's a terrible idea.
Use Firefox if Chrome isn't an option. Opera as a last resort.
It is possible in Windows' sound options to change sound output levels for a specific program. Ensure you haven't done that.

Yup, I've checked and it says chrome should be doing fine. I guess I'll just have to go back to firefox, although I like chrome a fair bit better than firefox. Unless you guys have any other suggestions?
I had this problem a few hours ago, fixed it by updating the flash player.
