• After Win7 Upgrade, CHKDSK loops

Hullo. I just upgraded Vista x64 to Win7. I took forever, but when I got home, my laptop was off. I turned it on, and it started with the option to run from disk. It then moves on to the boot options, Win7 or Restore I believe. It automatically went to Win7, and after the boot up screen, after displaying the window screen for about five minutes, it runs CHKDSK. It then runs Win7 again and loops CHKDSK. This continues to loop until I shut down the laptop. I tried to restore Vista, but it stopped and started to loop CHKDSK. I then tried to boot in Safe Mode and in the middle of loading the drivers, it froze, leading me to think it's a driver issue. I put Ubuntu 64-bit on a disk and ran it and I can see all my files. I looked for a minidump, in case it bluescreened and reset so fast that I dint see it. How do I fix this, reverting to either Vista or Win7? [editline]09:43PM[/editline] Oh jesus... I think my laptop shutdown mid-update.
Err, I still need help.
Backup everything and try a fresh install?
When I get home, I think I can backup my files using Ubuntu. It didn't work in windows, because of some bullshit "not enough space" error, but I'm hoping it was a Vista problem. Then, if the disc can load, then I'll do a fresh install.
