I have a fairly unstable processor that causes me to get a BSOD when doing too much. This can be fixed though, by setting all my system processes to cores 1 and 2 and all my programs to cores 3 and 4. I was wondering if there's some way I can have these be assigned to the corresponding cores at startup? Thanks in advance.
If you mean forcing your computer to always only use specific cores, run a program called msconfig and go to boot -> advanced options, and check number of processors, and specify how many cores you want to run.
I've never tried it myself, however, might want to double check it with someone else.
No, he is thinking of something different. He doesn't want to limit the amount of cores he is using, just set specific processes to seperate cores.
