well the reviews for the most part arnt very good so facepunch what do you think of this game.?
I give it a 7. It kept me entertained for the few days that I rented it but I wouldn't buy it. If it was released back in 2000 when it should have been released it would have been absolutely amazing, but for today's standards of games it fails in comparison.

Also the massive shift of tone around halfway into the game was a major downer.
The graphics are unacceptable... I don't care if they were going for some nostalgia factor with them, they are bad.
Most of the voice acting is trash. Dukes lines are always hilarious though.
Level design is confusing sometimes, boss fights are repetitive and boring also.
For a game that took this long to come out, you would expect a lot more effort.
Somehow after all this though, its a decent 8 I'd say. It's just one of those games that's fun to play for the most part... But I would only pay maybe 10 or 20 dollars for it...

The thing is, the way the game was made it was developed and cancelled about 4 times. Eventually gearbox took what they could get and developed it within a year and we got what we have now.

they should have gone with this one

it was ready 10 fucking years ago
There is a lot wrong with it, if you were grading the developers on how well they made it then it'd be a pretty low score.
The game itself though, not that bad. Not the best game but it's still about a 7.

Why does everyone hate the graphics, seriously? they're not even bad

Until you walk up to a sign and can't read it because it's a pixellated mess.
Overall, it's not bad... but not great. Regenerating health and the 2 weapons system can suck my balls.
It was OK I'd give it a 6 at best it did keep me entertained for a while.
It isn't like the modern games we got today but i still got my fun out of it. 7 is fair i think.
I enjoyed it because of the nostalgia and the comedy, and some sections are ok. My suggestion: buy it when it's cheap, or rent it.

I give it a 10 because it has tits.
But in all seriousness, they could at least make a proper Duke jump model, in some parts of the SP there are mirrors and if you look at your self while jumping, you will understand what I am saying.
I personally like it, not the best game around but it is still fun to play, I give it an 8
I'd give it 7/10, but it really depends on your expectations. If you thought it was going to be a CoD-killer then you're a fucking moron, if you expected it to be a comedy then you got it more right. Also the graphics was pretty good on PC, supposedly a fucking mess on xbox.
7, it's a good game, far from perfect though, it has some huge flaws.

It's a fun game, but I can think of many others I'd rather be playing.
11 because I've waited for this game years ago but that doesn't matter. All these Cock of Dooty douchers give it 5's and under because anymore if the multiplayer isn't good don't get it.
I've only played the demo, but from what I saw, the enemies were too hard to kill (Mind you, I was on the hardest difficulty), the voiceacting definately needed work, the guy next to the whiteboard only has like 4 lines and wouldn't shut up and the so called "DOF" was incredibly overdone, it feels like Dukes glasses must've been useless. Also the movement was awkward and felt wierd, as did aiming. I also didn't really like the zoom feature very much, I'd rather have ironsights or just the simple crosshair. Hopefully, the full game is much better, I'll have to rent it and see.
I rented it, and so far it's more of a comedic game than an epic game it was made out to be.
Almost raged when i heard "Hey pal, what are you going to do, save the world all by yourself?" in such an anti-climatic way. I think they focused on the comedy too much, but overall it's a fun game mainly because of it. Hell, I found myself trying to crotch shot all the enemies to see if Duke was going to say something.
All the men in this game must admire Duke, because their models are way too big. I'm sure Duke Nukem has smaller hands than theirs.
the voiceacting definately needed work
What about the game, Duke? Was IT any good?
driving mechanics were bad

i haven't even played it.. and don't really intend to

So many things I wanna say that have already been said up there, so I'm just gonna leave it at that :downs:
It's fun
that's all that matters
