• 32GB 3GS - 3.1.3 AT&T use in UK

Alright, I have a new iPhone 3GS 32GB although it is locked to AT&T I believe. The iPhone is not yet activated. Could someone tell me my options in regards to putting this iPhone into use in the UK on the O2 network? Thanks.
The unlock for 3.1.3 will be released along side with the iOS 4.0 unlock. Other than that you're out of luck (unless you get one of those weird SIM fooling thingies which are illegal in some countries).
Alright, this most likely will be released after the iPhone is released am I correct? Thanks for the reply.
Yeah, they're waiting for the iPhone 4 release to see if they can get it to work on there. I have no idea why as it uses a completely different modem and baseband chip.

Haha, nah I mean the Dev Team are waiting to see if their unlock can be modified to work on the new iPhone, nothing to do with Apple.
I am aware I can use ultrasn0w 0.9.3 to unlock my baseband, though I still need to activate the phone. Are there any alternatives other than blackra1n? Once I run it, it runs the exploit (as documented in the log) then closes it, then iTunes alerts me that "iTunes cannot retrieve sync services for iPhone "^1" or something similar along those lines. I also attempted to shift+click restore to a fresh build of 3.1.3, though the iTunes reports that it cannot verifiy the firmware (error code: 3194, apparently this means iTunes cannot communicate with Apple servers (gs.apple.com) although I have the ports open, firewall disabled as well as the server added to my hosts file) :saddowns:

Apple stopped signing 3.1.3 yesterday, so you can no longer restore to it (unless you have your SHSH blobs backed up). You'll need to wait for a new tool to JB OS4. There's an unlock out already, and PwnageTool and redsn0w updates are in the works.
Thanks for your reply, even though you already have helped me personally.
New PwnageTool and redsn0w should hit Friday or so I'd guess, so you should be golden once those are released. I'll upload PwnageTool'd images for anyone who wants them, too.
