Hey guys, i've been looking to buy a new mouse since i've been using an old dell mouse for a few years now. I was interested in getting the Razer Mamba 2012 edition, and was wondering what you guys think of it, or if you could suggest a better mouse. My price range is at max $100. I do mainly play CS:GO and other FPS's. I was in a rush earlier, so here's the specific mouse I was looking at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153080 And i'd prefer if it was purchasable on newegg.

My friend has a razer mamba. It's got some nice features, but overall I hate it because it's flat out too damn long. The features it provides don't really make up for it in my opinion since their mostly superficial. Things like highly adjustable lights, glowing charging pads, optional wirelessness (which would be great if wireless mice didn't have noticeable input lag). I highly recommend the G9X. It's got some features that the mamba lacks like two different grips, adjustable weights, a lockable friction free scroll wheel (which is so, so amazing; a feature I would be willing to pay $60 for alone). To date I've not seen a mouse I would rather own especially when you consider price.
Don't get the razer mamba, the 2012 edition has a bug that razer refuses to acknowledge where most of them randomly snap the cursor in different directions for no clear reason I'd recommend you the G700s, G602 or the G400s logitech mice, from the ones i've used(Roccat Kone XTD, Cyborg RAT7/9, Razer mamba and 2012 edition, Razer orochi, G400s, G500, G500s, and my current G602) The G400s and G602 are optical, while the G700s is laser. The optical sensors have no acceleration, while the laser ones have a bit of it, meaning very long and fast movements have a slight bit of inaccuracy. On the other hand, i've found optical sensors don't work at all when accidently lifted off, like i sometimes do when i do fast motions(rocket jumping in TF2 really suffers from this, but it's not really applicable unless you play on low sensitivities) The G400s is light and somewhat small, without any extra buttons. I had issues with it's grip, but this depends on how you hold the mouse. The accuracy of it is perfect, and you can set the DPI to any factor of 50, making it really customisable. The G602 is a wireless mouse, but it doesn't really suffer from it. Personally i find it a lot easier to hold, even if i accidently pressed the side buttons in the beginning. As long as you've got the receiver on your desk, it has the same accuracy as the G400s. The max DPI is lower, which you most likely won't notice or care about(high DPI is a gimmick), but it's only adjustable with 250 DPI increments. This shouldn't be an issue if you've been used to a dell office mouse, though. The lack of a cable getting stuck or affecting movement of the mouse is amazing as well. I'd personally recommend the G602 as the only gripe i truly have with it is the liftoff, which can't really be done anything about. Unlike most wireless gaming mice, it doesn't need a battery swap every couple of days - i've used it since i got it the 6th of november and it's battery indicator is still on 60%, the mouse reporting the battery being at full health(the last 2 weeks i've had 60 hours of playtime, and even more general computer usage in gaming mode, so the batterylife really shines) I haven't personally used the G700s for extended periods of time, but it's probably the best grip i've had on a mouse, and it uses a laser sensor like the G500s does. The G500s is the most accurate laser mouse i've used, but it still has a little bit of acceleration and has an issue with it's cable breaking, so i'd avoid it if i were you. The G700s should be should be the best option if you'd want a laser mouse. I think it has the ability to be used wireless like the mamba with a removable cable, even if i doubt the battery life is good enough for that kind of use. This is the one spot where i'm hoping someone will prove me wrong if i am. To tell you about the other mice i know about: The Roccat Kone XTD had tons of option, but it's acceleration was horrendous. I ended up getting a refund for it before even using it for a day, preferring the office mouse i had in the meantime, which was more accurate somehow. Don't bother with it. The cyborg RAT 9 was accurate and did it job. It had a customisable grip which worked well, and had interchangable batteries to work around the battery life. After enough battery changes, it burns out, however. I couldn't recommend it when something like the G602 is better in every single way, including price(it might even be past your budget). The Razer mamba was accurate and did it's job too, but also suffered from reliability issues. The 2012 edition is literally broken, and both cost a ton afaik(250$ here. seriously.). I'd personally stay away from razer period because of their track record with shoddy device and driver quality. Razer mamba especially, since the old edition is beat by other, newer, laser mice in every single way. The orochi was essentially a tiny mamba, suffering from the same issues. Wouldn't recommend either. To recap, i'd recommend the logitech G602 personally, but the G400s and G700s are great options as well. They're all within 100$ where i live, and they apply a 55% tax here, so i'd be surprised if they break your budget. I've also heard good things about the G9x, but never had the ability to try them personally. I guess you should choose between the G400s, G602, G700s and G9x based on what you find most comfortable to hold. The features of each mice don't matter if you don't find it comfortable. I really enjoy my razer deathadder. Nothing special, and not too expensive. I've personally had some bad experiences with logitech mice.
I enjoy my Roccat Lua
Steelseries sensei is nice. Though it's not the top of top on this list I will show in a minute, I personally find it to be quite nice. Here is a list of top mice from /v/ http://i.imgur.com/ELufO3A.jpg
Hi, I bought the Razer Death adder 2013 to replace my Logitech G700. Did I make the right choice?

I just use a Logitech LS1, suprisingly accurate for the price.
Hi, I bought the Razer Death adder 2013 to replace my Logitech G700. Did I make the right choice?
I just got one. After getting used to it I have no complaints.
I have a Logitech g600 really amazing but not for everyone
Logitech G700. From what I gather, the Logitech series of mice will give you better results.
I like the Corsair Vengeance M65.
