Hi guys, Well a long time ago i hosted Butterfield Hotel about two times. Many laughs were had once that thing was on but it kept crapping out because it was hosted on my own PC instead of a decent VPS, this caused people to leave and eventually it died out. Now after 3 days of messing around i managed to get a new hotel working again but on my own PC and not on a VPS so i was curious if anyone has a VPS they are willing to offer up so i can host BFH on it, i will place a banner on the site promoting your company in case you want that. Found some old stuff from the old hotel [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/6BhGYU.png[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/07sOx.png[/t][t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12774345/palace of love.png[/t] PM me or message me here in case ye got something <3
what do you need exactly from the vps
1+ GB RAM, single core (3 GHz or above) and about 10+ GB of space. Of course if anything is above of what i just said then that is only better.
I would be willing to help you out, but what exactly is Butterfield hotel?
I would be willing to help you out, but what exactly is Butterfield hotel?
Butterfield Hotel was a pet project of mine 2 years ago where i tried to use a (now defunct) emulator called PhoenixEmu to replicate a official Habbo Hotel. Originally, Habbo Hotel is this website/game where teens can hang out and play games, make rooms and socialize. The biggest restriction to have proper fun in Habbo is that there is a massive paywall. If you want to make a decent room you will be paying up to 30-40 euro because you pay with credits which cost real money, then you also have HC (Habbo Club) which costs again a few euroes and now you also have VIP which also costs a shitload of money. The upside of this emulator is that everyone starts basically with infinite money so you can build whatever you want and do whatever you want, it also removes the silly language censorship and you can add new objects to the game yourself. In the end it is meant as a kids game but if you remove the paywall and language censorship then you get a decent social platform where you can just fuck around on by making complex wire contraptions, make music and just hang out.
