Freedom of speech. Respect people's opinion and decision. Would you vote a person as your leader (President, Minister, Governor, Mayor, etc) if you knew he/she was an Atheist? If the person is a good leader and he/she is an atheist would you still choose that person? For me, this depends on a good leadership qualities not based on their status. Religion or no religion, if a person have a poor leadership quality, you would not want him/her as your leader.
Considering I am, sure.

I wouldnt mind an atheist leader, actually I would enjoy one as I am atheist, as long as they dont try to make every anti-religious, but it would be good, especially in the US, for some seperation of church and state, like it is supposed to be, and I think an atheist could do that
