• Help with choosing a laptop ($1200 budget)

Since my other thread went to complete shit by suggesting a Macbook Pro, I'm making another one. And this time in the right section. I want something that looks professional or just nice, fairly durable (for use while traveling in the car), and isn't plastic. My currency is USD. It will be for my mom, but I will be using it for some gaming and photoshop. Thanks. (I was thinking the HP Envy Beats Edition but I decided it was priced just for the beats audio.)
thanks for the help guys, chose a macbook pro :downs: [editline]25th January 2011[/editline] seriously hurry the fuck up
If you don't have to get it anytime soon, I would wait for mobile i5 sandy bridges to be released
Honestly I don't know many laptops other than a MBP that are not plastic. I mean they're not cheap plastic, but they're plastic. I'd normally say Dell, but many people here don't like them, and after my last one I agree somewhat. Hp laptops are nice, I'd say go with one of those. I think some of those are metal also. And seriously, stop being an impatient prick. Nobody's going to help you if you annoy and nag them to do so.

I like the quality of the build overall, but there specs are utter shit.
Newegg doesn't sell them anymore, but get this one http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=qosmio+x505-q892&cid=575365318266538206&os=sellers#
Looks like ricer shit.
I really don't see how the laptop looks 'ricer' at all but that's my suggestion, and as of right now it's probably the best in terms of value too [editline]26th January 2011[/editline] this looks ricer? are we talking about the same laptop here?
Hp laptops are nice, I'd say go with one of those.
HP laptops have terrible failure rates.
This is really good: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152206&cm_re=msi_laptop-_-34-152-206-_-Product but out of stock now :frown:
HP laptops have terrible failure rates.
Look nice is what I meant. Had no idea about that.
HP laptops have terrible failure rates.
Not really. I've had mine for quite a long time. Although my brothers failed within 2 years. The laptop was recalled, although. I guess it was our fault.
