Evolve is an e-sport?
I mean, I love Evolve and I'm super excited for it, but I think we can agree that it's not E-Sport material. It's totally asymmetric and there's so much more to just using characters in tandem for E-Sports.

Plenty of eSport games have some form of asymmetry in them; MOBA players pit different characters against each other, Starcraft players different races. The unconventional thing in Evolve would be that the amount of players on each team differs. [editline]29th January 2015[/editline] Not that I think it'll really become a widely played eSport... no original IP that pushed the eSports angle in advertising ever really became one. The community just isn't there, it needs years to grow to that level.
I think that Evolve as an E-Sport might work out, since I enjoy watching games of it, so I'd watch it.
I don't understand the angle of having this be a competitive game... We'd have to have special rules. Or even like best of five rounds with 4 v 4 teams where every team member plays as the monster once one twice. but as hunters you can play whatever. It's hard to even figure out this. Figure out what the "Main" mode will be. Most likely Hunt. BUT hey, they could use their Evacuation mode as their "Main" mode which looks like it will follow the best of 5 model.
