I've searched up a lot of solutions on Google, but it's stuck like this every time it goes to sleep.
Takes a shit load of time to actually see the display. It's become very more elongated each time coming back from school.

Apologies, the actual model is 2436V, not 2436VH.
So you basically mean the display flickers on and off when you turn it on after it being off for a bit of time?

My monitor (Samsung 226BW) gets that, it flashes on and off for 2-5 minutes, I looked it up online and people suggested it was a broken capacitor, and that it was a sign that it was on its way to the graveyard.
My AOC monitor (I have two monitors) has black like...lines in the background, kinda like those lines you see if someone records a TV with a video camera, I think that AOC might just be a "crap" brand when it comes to reliability. Which is unfortunate because it's a pretty good monitor.
Nothing like that, my apologies again for not explaining myself enough, haha.
Well, sometimes my display will take up to an hour to start working, after a long session of the power indicator blinking (power button).
I agree with the AOC opinion completely.
Although, it was my only complaint with the monitor.
Thank you so much for responding though, so very unfortunate to buy this thing on a sale.
I had a Philips monitor which was doing the same deal as yours, it doesn't come on, but the power button
just flashes. Even when the thing get's a signal for sure. When you take a VERY VERY close look, do you see the panel light up very slightly? It may just be a capacitor. You could take it apart, but make sure before you take it apart to unplug it and press the power button like 10 times or it still has the potential to shock the crap outta you! Then you take a good look for suspicious looking capacitors.
