• What is double bios protection?

My motherboard box says something like "Double Bios Protection". Does this mean If I fuck it up by trying to flash it will have a backup chip to fall back onto?
Yeah pretty much IMO.

and virus protection believe it or not there are viruses for bioses
Yes, always have the BIOS write protected lest you are updating it. The nastiest viruses don't bother with system software or hard drive blanking, nay they go right for the BIOS.
Thank god those aren't too common or my bios would have aids by now.

Now only if i could find the option to turn it on. It's probably on by default anyway, if my mobo has that option.

Some bios list it explicitly as "Virus Protection".
