So I just noticed in windows 7 ultimate 64-bit(yes I know I love wasting money) that schost can get up to .25GB of ram usage at times. [img]http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/4875/retarded.png[/img]
It goes up at about 100KB of RAM /s and appears to have no cap. Anyone care to explain the retardedness of W7? Besides the fact that it's vista with a new sound pack pretty much(oh and it costs $100 more)?
Mine does the same, live with it, it won't slow down your computer. Windows 7 is not Vista with a new sound pack. It's much faster, and has had a lot of deep changes making it faster and much less buggier.

The 10GB being from the part where it compresses files on a readyboost drive to about 50% so it doubles the capacity(in theory) plus the 2GB of ram it's stealing from me.

When other apps need more memory, superfetch will release it to them.
I think one of the svchosts controls your computer fan or something, or heat levels etc.
Because my friends computers fan didnt work and one svchost was like using over half of computers cpu.

It's your fault for having so many services on and so many tabs in chrome. Also SuperFetch isn't the only service in svchost. You want to know what services are hosted just right click then click on go to service(s).
