If you record gameplay for youtube, does copyright music from the game get you muted?

As the title says, I'm trying to figure out what kind of things I need to look out for when uploading videos to YouTube. I personally feel that if it's part of the game then you shouldn't get in trouble for it, but at the same time I know my opinion doesn't mean anything. Will I have to mute the audio whenever a copyright song comes on?
If you have the partner deal thing, then yes. If not you should be fine.
The detection is algorithm based, it doesn't know if you're playing a game or just playing the song so it will likely block it.

But on that note, you might be able to appeal by explaining it's ingame

This is incorrect.
Certain songs will get your video claimed (which means ads will play on them and you can't monetize them). Other songs will get your video muted outright (whether you're partnered or not).
Depends on the company.
