How the hell do I fix "OS Paged Pool Memory Low"?!

In Team Fortress 2 and in rare instances in Half-Life 2: Episode 2, I get this annoying error in the top right corner of my screen, in distracting red text: "WARNING: OS Paged Pool Memory Low". Letting it go too long results in my computer blue screening, in extreme instances.
My question is this. How do I fix this? Is there a way to (safely) increase my Paged Pool Memory? Is it as easy as simply decreasing or increasing some obscure setting, or will I actually have to spend money to fix this problem? (Spending money... :vomit:)
I have already tried turning off AVG, as well as pretty much every other process that runs while TF2 is going. This helps to extend my playtime, but only by a small amount. A small amount being maybe 2-3 minutes.
If there is anything to fix this, please, I am desperate. Thanks in advance.
I'm not entirely sure about the fix, but you can try increasing your paging file size. Set it to 1.5x your amount of RAM.
If that doesn't work, increase the heapsize for TF2. -heapsize x in your launch options.
I think this is to do with not having enough virtual memory but I can't be sure, if anyone could confirm this I could tell you how to fix it, if someone else doesn't beat me to it.
Also what's your OS?
Yeah, I was going to suggest what Birkett said.

I'll try them both.
What's the default heapsize for the game, if there is one?

Running on Windows XP, SP2.
The default adjusts itself according to how much RAM you have installed.
To calculate a value, use the following handy forumla:
Total RAM / 2 * 1024 = Heapsize
Try setting it for your full RAM amount at first.
I always thought if you added more virtual memory, that once it was a greater amount than your RAM it would just use harddrive space instead?
Changing the heapsize and paging file size resulted in no results. It seems to be stuck at a certain amount of pool to use, my problem is that I need to increase that.
Fix is here! I've said it before, on another account. (Banned !! !! !! !! ! !! ! !)
Here's what you do:
Start Menu > Run > regedit
Surf down to this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\Memory Management
Double click on "PagedPoolSize". Hexadecimal is listed first. Change the "Value Data" to one of these below:
(Note: You only need to enter EITHER Hexadecimal or Decimal. They both are the same.)
Megabytes Hexadecimal Decimal
192Mb 0c000000 201326592
256Mb 10000000 268435456
384Mb 18000000 402653184 There you go. It is now fixed. I have mine to 384Mb and everything works fine!
Saw this warning before.
Then it went away for awhile.
Recently, it came back and crashed every time I started a game.
This fix worked for me.
Thank you.

None of these fixes work for me help! I even tried making my os paged pool memory to 384MB and making my virtual memory all the way up!

It didn't work for me.
I had this problem for TF2.
It went away after I got more RAM memory.

I've got 2gb.

Get 3. TF2 takes up alot of space.
sorry to bump such an old threat but i'm getting this too now.
I have an ATI 4550 (1gb) and 4gb of ram. This should not be happening.
I've been jarate'd by the same problem, thank god the solution fixed it.
Page pool memory, to my opinion, is BULLS#*T!
I used to have this issue back on my old computer. jacked up my computer to newer graphics and processor and it doesn't show anymore.
