How scary is the game Amnesia? - General

I have got the game right here on my desktop, is it really as scary as people say? But there again others say that it's not as bad as people make out? So should I wait until later tonight and play it? Or is it not worth it?

Nah, its not that bad if you dont grab the lantern that attracts monsters, just dont grab it whatever you do.

I shat my pants on the first play through. It's one of the best horror games ever made.

It's scary, but it won't actually really disturb you (well it might do.) It's fun scary. I got scared watching a walkthrough.

Well Hoot, it's pretty scary, there are some jump scares with monsters, but mostly it's the atmosphere. Footsteps, screams, dark, and knowing that any moment a monster might come. Oh, and did i mention there is no way to get rid of said monsters? And that they have jaws stretching all the way to their chest? And some have blades for arms and kill you quicker than you can scream JESUS FUCK NO WAY? No way am I going to play the whole game without a lantern, wondering if theres a monster infront of me, but not knowing because its pitch black!

It tells you to submerge yourself into the gameplay. When you do-- --it's fucking terrifying. Greatest horror game EVER.

It's not scary at all it's quite boring actually, the monster looks retarded as well which made me laugh much more than being scared. It's extremely overhyped.

The game is not fun it's so fucking scary you want to turn it off, but that's the fun of it.

I'm losing the courage to play it, I will in 20 minutes though.
