• Chrome 15 Dev no longer wildly scrolls when loading a page with a lot of images

I was browsing a thread that had a lot of images and I noticed that the browser wasn't scrolling all over the place. That thing we all hate. I noticed instead the background image here at FP was moving downward. Like one of those barbershop poles. I tested this out in other threads and it all did the same thing. Cleared the cache just for one final test, still works. I also noticed that the scrollbar was moving about as it usually would when this happens. So finally a browser can load to specific point on the page and not scroll about whenever some large images load. Chrome Dev 15

It took how long for this to be fixed? Now all we need is some nice fade transition for webpages or something, it looks so archaic when I see images and content loading one by one, fast, but still
How buggy are the dev versions of chrome? I'm still on the regular chrome, but this sounds amazing.
The developer channel is actually pretty stable, it goes through some testing itself before each release. Features are added and removed and changed a lot more than beta or stable. Every once and a while a bug might slip through but its patched pretty quickly.
I've never had an issue with a developer channel version of Chrome, always smooth as butter too. I recommend do you do it.
How buggy are the dev versions of chrome? I'm still on the regular chrome, but this sounds amazing.
I've been using Dev for years now. I've only had it be unusable once not too long ago but other than that it has been stable as can be.
15.0.874.10 canary here I noticed it too, yeah
How long will it take till firefox has such a thing?
