SO, FUCK. I decided to try and use PLOP to be able to install Ubuntu 13.10 via USB, it worked fine until in a part of the setup it said that ubuntu install executing grub-install failed 13.10.
So I selected store it in another place or w/e. Now it rebooted, and now its fucking stuck on a blinking cursor on a black screen, yes I checked the boot order HDD is FIRST.
WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO NOW!???
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now it says Operating System not found....
Awesome, Ubuntu fucked my computer, I can't boot from USB because the laptop is old, and I don't have a recovery disc.

Fuck me.
So what can I do besides using a CD or a floppy?
I literally have no money for a month.
If you have Windows installed in a separate partition you can restore the original boot record by using something like http://www.ubcd4win.com/, alternatively
if Windows has been wiped you can download a Windows iso and burn it to disk, as long as you have a legit key for the same version it's perfectly legal, even if you don't
have a key (I.E you've lost it) you have a 30 day? trial period to sort your shit out.
You could also try install Ubuntu again, once GRUB is properly installed it can boot any partition.
Also I'm pretty sure if you have a UEFI BIOS you can select which partition to boot.
There are instructions available for repairing GRUB as well.
