Everybody hates textbooks. Those soulless, thousand page tomes that are bent on teaching you things you don't care about. However, once in a great while a joke might slide its way into your textbook, brightening up your learning experience ever so slightly. Let's share those silly passages and phrases. Mine was in an economics textbook. The book was trying to demonstrate negative externalities, or the negative effects that the decisions of others can have on you. The example said that your neighbor bought new bagpipes and played them every day. "Unfortunately, you hate the sound of bagpipes." Go!

My chemistry book last year just had a picture of Geordi La Forge, with no explanation, next to a passage that doesn't mention anything having to do with Geordi La Forge.
