So I know you need to make sure it's set to priority boot the cd/hdd drives. Will there be any negative effects if I don't change it back to normal after reformat?
Reformatting the hard drive wont change any options in the BIOS.
Never mind, you misunderstood. I reformatted and now it will not detect my speakers. Help?

Install drivers for your sound card

Will not detect your speakers, or sound card?
I'm not sure but probably sound card. Other audio devices also do not work. I'll try and install some drivers if I can find the sound card model.

The sound card plugs into the mobo so I should need mobo drivers. All I was able to find about the mobo was the chipset and model(according to CPU-ID). The chipset is Intel i865P and the model is SpringdalePE. This doesn't sound quite right but it's according to CPUID.
You also need the drivers for the sound card.
I am listing the mobo because the sound card is onboard and I can't find out which onboard goes with that mobo. (I just got the pc for free from someone)
Edit: Problem fixed. I managed to find out which drivers to get.
