So I work at a grocery store and have direct deposit set on my account, realizing it's payday today I go on my banks e-banking website only to realize that though I had about 58 dollars in my account (before payday, my new check hasn't been deposited) I only had 8 that I was able to use, so after looking around the site I find out that my 50 dollars is under a "Pending Hold Transaction". Can anyone here let me know what this means and why it's only listed as for "General Purposes"?

My bank is Community Choice Credit Union, just to clear that up.
Always call the bank when it comes to this sort of stuff. They'll know the answer better than any Facepuncher.

I tried, but I just spent 20 minutes on hold and figured that since the members here have a pretty expansive knowledge base, they might be able to give me a decent idea as to what it actually means.
You might want to provide info of your bank then, someone who has an account with the same bank could know.
