Nexus 4 battery drainsi - 48% to 22% in 20sec, then levels out

Alright guys, so I've have been having these strange issues that my battery to drain for no apparent reason.
I was just using WhatsApp when it was at 48%, then after about 20 to 40 seconds it had drained down till 22% before it finally stopped.
During that time that it happened I noticed that my phone had become noticeably warm on the right side of the camera, i presume this is the place where the CPU is housed.
This is how it looks in the Battery tab:

You can clearly tell it took a noise dive while I was using WhatsApp for a really short time.
My main concern right now lies in the fact if my battery is dead or if this is a common issue that can be fixed.
It doesn't look like your battery is faulty, just uncalibrated. Usually calibrating a battery is just a matter of letting it run completely flat, then charging it without unplugging it until it's completely full. If that doesn't work, I believe there's an option in the recovery mode of the phone to delete something to do with the battery which I believe helps recalibrate it
