Hey, I've got a probelm with my newly bought laptop. This begins after an hour or so, and seems to happen faster without battery. It comes when I watch a movie, surf the internet or even while I play games. And I've found a temporary fix to be, focus the desktop for some seconds. But it seems to come back after 5 minutes or so.. :/ If I plug a screen in the laptops hdmi port on the back of it, there is not sign of the noise. I could just send it to repair, but the problem is that I'm going on vacation in a few days, and I want to bring my laptop with me. So I hope any of you can help me. Specs: 17.3” FullHD-LED AntiGlare panel 1920x1080. Intel Core i7-3610QM 4x2,30GHz (Turbo 3.30GHz) Ivy Bridge Kingston 16GB DDR3-1600 HyperX RAM Nvidia GeForce GTX670m 1,5GB GDDR5 dedicated ram + Intel HD 4000 Graphics 8-cell Li-Ion high-end battery All the graphics drivers are updated both for the Intel and the Nvidia graphics. Looks like some faulty card.
Looks like some faulty card.
If it were faulty then the problem would've been shown on the external monitor as well. I think it's the wiring in the display.

And it dosen't help to move the screen or anything.

I'll leave it up untill the problems apper, and post the temps. I'm just thinking, it shoulnd't get that hot while watching movies?
Hmm... I can't get the temperature of the intel graphics :/ And the graphics card is not getting used while watching movies/surfing the web [editline]11th July 2012[/editline] But as said, it also happens when I play games etc. BF3 (ultra)
I have repaired many Laptops exposed to accidental liquid spills. This is a recoverable condition in most cases. It is most important to respond to the cleaning up process as soon as possible (before corrosion or internal soakage occur)! Liquid intrusion can cause the following types of laptop damage: Short circuit due to conductive nature of wet liquid (problem may clear as liquid dries) Short circuit due to dried liquid residue Corrosion occurs (particularly volatile with some acidic soft drinks - Coke) Electronic components damaged by above short circuit [editline]12th July 2012[/editline] Immediately when a spill occurs, turn off the laptop, invert the laptop and leave the unit upside down (drainage) for at least 20-30 minutes. Then, remove any attached leads, remove the power unit and battery, and allow the unit to air-dry overnight. than not working , so you go to laptop engineer .

As said this happens everytime I turn the laptop on after about an hour or so.
