That's . . . . actually pretty neat. I could see it being a system-seller on it's own if developers use it well.
So we can play Xbox One games on PC or PC games on Xbox One?

You can play the Xbox version of the game on the Xbox, and the PC version on the PC. Stream support is a different thing.
There's quite a lot of great news surrounding the Xbone lately.
The day they remove the Xbox Live paywall for online multiplayer is the day I'm buying an Xbox One.
Make dedicated servers only available to Live owners but give the option for P2P online for the others.
C'mon Phil. Is that so much to ask?
I wish gaming companies did this. I spent like $110 on skyrim on the console and on steam it wants me to pay $40 more for skyrim and the the dlc that almost every decent mod requires
Why would I buy a game on both, except in ridiculous cases like Rockstar releases kept a year apart between devices?
Why would I celebrate this hardly useful idea just so they can force in the return of Games For Windows Live, the most notorious distribution platform?
Fantastic idea if not for Microsoft.
GFWL shutdown was probably one of the best things to happen to PC gaming in recent time, and Microsoft is just going to make all owned ip's console exclusive anyway.

Between all the talk on Microsoft supporting PC and now adding this feature, I'd bet we'll be getting more MS games on PC.

If we do, that would be fantastic. Just in time for the next GoW game to land. I just don't see it happening.
I hope this gets widely used, it'll save me some money. My dad and I tend to like playing the same games, but he's Xbox while I'm PC. Though that's mostly because we can't justify getting a second Xbox just so I can coop with him.
so kinda like what portal 2 did
I hope this comes to big games like Halo and Forza and not just smaller games.

Buy once. Play on both.

Sorta. If you bought Portal 2 on PC, you weren't eligible for a free PS3 copy. However, if you bought a PS3 copy instead, you got a key for PC aswell.
What Microsoft is doing is that you can buy a cross-buy enabled game and download it both on PC and Xbone.
