Aight, got a quick question about selling PC components.

Alright, is it even possible to sell components? If so, would it be possible to sell a Nvidia GeForce GT220, and how much would I get for it? I'm saving up for a new graphics card, just to get with the program and play Brink and BF3 and that shit when it comes out, I have £40-50+ which is about $60-70(?) dollars, so if I sell it how much would I get? In pounds or dollars (I can use a converter).
I get £10 a week, so for a month it'll be £40 and I should be getting £20-30 when I'm home, so in a month I'll have £80-110 + The sold card, is that gonna be enough to play Brink or BF3 when they come out? If so, recommend some cards in the price zone please?
Also, if you say save up £0-40 and get this, that'd be p. cool too.
Alright, so thanks HaS!

I also mean when I say "Will it be enough" I mean graphics wise.
Aight dawg, let me break it down for you.
1. Ye, wutchu think newegg does bro?
2. I'd say only bout 40 to 50 dawg, newegg gotz it fer like 71. Dats in Canadian dollars brew.
3. No, dah money by itself is not enough to play doze games when they come out, u gunna need a graphix card dawg!

Oh yah I almost forgot broski! We can't tell u wat to get at da moment cuz new cards might come out!!!
List all of your specs, to play those games 80 pounds should be enough if you don't have a big monitor.
there isn't a big market for a low end card, so you'd have to sell it for pretty low price

cant list atm, not at home, basically its 2GB DDR2 RAM, Nvidia GeForce GT220, 500GB HD, 32" LG monitor, and other shit I can't remember, but all I want to know is, how much the card will cost, and how decent it will be able to play the games, I can build up the ram gradually

Well do list the specs when you get home. Also find out the resolution of the monitor.

off the top of my head i think its 1920x1240

well, seeing how it's a 32'' monitor I think we can assume that it will be no less than 1080p
also in the people who are viewing this thread at the bottom why does your name have a "+" sign next to it
32" probably means it is a TV, not a monitor.

It uses a HDMI lead, if that makes a difference. Yeah, it's a TV.
So long as everything's operational, and in good condition, I'm sure you can find someone to sell it to for cheap on ebay. That's your best bet.

ok I understand
Hahaha
So any graphics card recommendations for £100-120? Or will I need more to play Brink/BF3

Me not knowing anything about graphics cards also lead to me thinking Nvidia was the only company who did GeForce GT's and what not, so are you guys sure this will play BF3 and Brink when it comes out?
Because you had a bad user experience with one product from a certain company and it's not even directly related, it must mean everything from that company is shit

did you read my edit? I thought they were trolling me giving me an asus card, but they weren't and now I'm buying that one
Don't know anything about graphics card, but I'm typing on my shitty Asus laptop right now, so idk if I'm gonna trust you D:

It'll play them fine, it's a Fermi.

I've heard of people buying low end cards just to handle the PhysX computations but I don't know if the GTX220 supports PhysX. It should still be a low price but someone may buy it.

I think PhysX is the shit Red Faction and BC2 use, right? If so, then yes it does.

My statement still doesn't change, because this following line still presents:

Mafia II uses it and I had to install it to get Homefront working as well. Batman:Arkham Asylum also had it, a lot of games actually do require PhysX now.

Yeah, p. sure that BFBC2 uses it as well as RFG. But yeah, I'll get that Asus GTX460, looks like it has the capability to play everything I want to play.

That's what I was looking at getting as well. A friend recommended to go with EVGA cards and can also vouch that his Asus card has shit out on him for the 3rd time.

I'm a n00b too, so don't look to me. I'm just parroting what my friend said who is really good at this stuff. He's built seven gaming rigs and several server rigs. That and majoring as an electrical engineer has it buffs :v:
