• Oma vs Oma - if you speak Korean, help me please

What's the difference pronunciation-wise between Oma in Dutch (grandma) and Oma/Umma in Korean (mom)? I'm convinced I hear a difference between the two but my girlfriend who is Korean says they're exactly the same. I've heard the words pronounced over and over and they sound different. Does anyone who speaks Korean agree or disagree? I'm being torn apart by my girlfriend who wants our baby to call her Oma and my mother who wants to be called Oma, this is the most ridiculous argument I never thought I'd be in, in my life, and both parties are heated. I think both pronunciations are different enough to just live and let live, but they're out for blood, people, I need input!
