Hell, Final Fantasy III's got some issues, no doubt. World map saving only (not sure if the DS version fixed that), some bad dungeon gimmick designs like the infamous tiny dungeon, a truly relentless final stretch which is only pained further by the aforementioned no saving in dungeons, and other factors. But I wouldn't consider it the [i]worst[/i] of the series.

No, it didn't. I had the DS version. The game is basically the same game with a new coat of paint, for better or for worse.
Can't wait for the "surprise" addition of "DLC" in the form of $10 for 1,000,000 whatever the currency of the game is, $20 for an instant 30 levels in your currently equipped job. I don't mean this to knock a game I'm aware of but never actually played.

because FF3 already has an android port that isn't completely terrible to port over whereas FF6 only has that monstrosity no-one likes to speak of, I guess.

Do you live in a world where the FFXIII trilogy doesn't exist?
Cool, really enjoyed the job system in this game, really wish it would make a comeback.
It's also what made Final Fantasy 5 so fun to play.
