• Do you have to use the Half - Reaction method for balancing oxidation reduction reactions?

I was looking over my notes for Chemistry when I noticed it said to solve oxidation reduction reactions in a basic solution I would need to use the Half-Reaction method which means turning a chemical equation into two separate ones. The problem is that I have one question where it doesn't seem like I could possibly change it into two different reactions as the elemetns are interconnected.
Yes
Pretty much. There's another way which is basically guess and check, but there's no point to that since it's unreliable.
