So, i started up my laptop this morning and it started installing some updates(the applying update operation XXXX/XXXXXX shit) and it froze at 4126/120025 files.
I thought that it's not a problem, it'll probably just continue the install after a while, so i went off to play some NHL 10. I checked again later and it was still stuck there. Every time i reboot it goes through that same process all over again just to freeze at the exact same spot every single time.
edit: I have tried system restore(it says "System Restore can't repair this computer automatically"), safe mode(freezes while loading it) and rebooting countless times..
Safe Mode? Then System Restore?

Nope, safe mode freezes when it's loaded about half the way...
You might want to look into reinstalling windows, you shouldn't lose any files; programs that needed to be installed will simply stop working.

Oh before that maybe boot from a windows cd and attempt repairs?
Sounds like your hard drive might have bad sectors or something. Try running a chkdsk if possible (I think you can from the OS install CD.) If not, get a program called spinrite and run that, it will fix a wide variety of drive ailments.
