I've decided to get an HD 4870 1gb, but have no idea which brand to get. I was looking at this one because of it's cheap price, good reviews, and free shipping, and that XFX is a generally respected brand (I think), but I'm just wondering if there's any other brand I should look at before buying. Price range is up to $160.
This one.

Really?
You mean like Sparkle and "Genuine Geforce"?
Sparkle is just underrated because it has such a shitty name. As for Genuine Geforce, I'm not familiar with that.
Cheapest or just flip a coin.
So you'd rather get this HIS card with terrible cooling vs. the Asus posted above?

That cooler is far from crap. HIS have excelent cooling designs.

I agree, plus there's a chance you could get $20 back with the rebate.
I think he means some PCB showing=crap card. Which obviously is complete and utter bullshit.
Just because a card doesn't have a heatpipe with cool pictures on it, doesn't mean it had bad heating.
True, stop jumping of stupid Brand-Bandwagons........
Often offbran products are as good (or even better) as brand products, but a lot cheaper

When it comes to graphics cards you might as well stick to well known brands, since the off-brand ones are the same price or only slightly cheaper.
and because if you get a sparkle card you'll get to see it live up to it's name
Get one that looks cool... I got a BFG cause it was green and black and matched the case I was going to get... Now it don't match, the case I went with is blue black. :frown:

Don't just get one because it looks cool, look for a quality card. BGF is a good brand though.

Get out.
Pricetag, performance and cooler should be the factors deciding what card to buy
