I'm honestly tempted to trade in my Note 3 when their next model releases. Samsung and Apple asking $800 for a new phone or a Chinese startup with groundbreaking numbers and equal to, if not better hardware at half the price? Sign me up. My phone is about customization and power. Not who's logo is on the back. If it were, I'd have an iPhone, not Samsung anyway.

Xiaomi Note 2 is apparently going to be announced on Jan 15th and there's speculation that it will go for as little as $150. If you ask me that's an absolute steal.

Not entirely sold on it tbh. I got a redmi 1s last week and seriously thinking of returning it. The display is nice, but that's about it.
