Hey I've decided to build a gaming rig for a school project. Here's what I've got so far... Intel i7 920 Kingston 2GB RAM X3 Asus P6T Motherboard EVGA 1792MB GTX275 Seagate 1TB SATAII HDD [link]http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-2-1-Chrome-Alienware-Black-ALX-PC-Tower-w-LED-Kit_W0QQitemZ220551242651QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3359e0e39b#ht_1802wt_1165[/link] and This Case I need help choosing a monitor, a cooler (liquid or fan?), a power supply and speakers for under AU$350. I live in Australia, so no Newegg :( The whole rig itself, if you think i should completely rebuild it, needs to be under AU$2000. Would the rig I've got so far be able to run most games?
that case... hahaha you can get something of the same quality and vomit inducing looks for a tenth of the price and if it's for games, i7 920? i5 750 has exactly the same performance for much less it would help if we had a link to the site you're using because this build is just horribly wrong
OP what school do you go to? Because I fucking swear I did this exact same thing last year.

Is there a better place for price? What case should I get then? And for the i5 750, what motherboard should I be getting? @Worm: Caulfield Grammar EDIT: I thought that case looked pretty sweet with a red light, i guess its a personal thing though... CPL update there green guide frequently so if that link doesn't work just go to cpl.net.au/ and click on greenguide

Oh well. Also the case is alright, but its really up to your own opinion. As for the i5 you need a LGA 1156 chipset socket.

An i5 is a must You might be able to fit a 5850 into the budget aswell.
What motherboard would you guys recommend, how about http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Foxconn-INFERNO-KATANA-Motherboard-i5-i7-DDR3-GLAN-8ch_W0QQitemZ140366794992QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Components?hash=item20ae8350f0#ht_779wt_996 the Foxconn inferno Katana? Or is that a bit over the top? If i go with that Mobo, this case would be fine, right? EDIT: Also how's the graphics card I've chosen? Would it be able to run newer games at a decent FPS or would i be better off with that 5850 leontodd suggested?
Get a 5850 or a 5870.
