Was going through the loft and found this old ww2 cap

According to my mother, it was her ex-boyfriend's grandfather's, which he stole when he fought in the war.
I have a feeling it's a either not genuine, or a load of ww2 stuff sort of "mashed together" (Oh I just nabbed this cap, I'll pop this badge and skull on it)
Any way to tell if it's genuine? And how much it might be worth?
Not sure what the turquoise stripe represents, but the Totenkopf emblem makes me think it's an SS officer's cap, though it's not quite the same design, without more knowledge I'd have to say the emblem might be fake, but the cap itself could be authentic.
I think it was a luftwaffle officer or something
I'm thinking it's a reproduction.
The emblem looks pretty dodgy.
I'm not an expert or anything on Nazi uniforms but I'd guess an officers cap for the Waffen SS Deathshead/Totenkopf divisions or that's what its trying to impersonate if its not real
Heres a close up of the badges, looks a bit rounded, I'll see if I can get an expert to look at it or something.

There are also plenty of groups on Facebook for Militaria if you do use Facebook.
That cap looks kinda odd as its headband area is not colored black, whereas all the Wehrmacht and SS officer caps I have seen have it with black color. Also totenkopf is placed too high as its touching the black line which could indicate it just being popped on the cap. The silver/aluminum chinstrap cord is used by regular officers.
To me it looks fake, but I may be mistaken as I ain't no expert, those are only my remarks about that cap.

That piping may actually be dark-green, and as far as I know dark green piping was only used by Postschutz in the occupied eastern areas. I have not much info on about those units but it makes me wonder why would someone do such an odd or lazy reproduction variant, so the hat may after all be authentic.
Yeah, it probably was dark green as its a bit faded
take a picture of the insides of the cap, might have a serial number or emblem to show something.
Not sure about caps, but my old Vietnam era helmet had numbers and an emblem inside
The dark green piping means that the owner of the cap was reserve officer of the Waffen SS. Being a collector myself, I an 90% sure that the cap is authentic ,the cut is right, as well as the fabric and the leather, it's a shame that the headband is missing tough. The totenkopf insignia is a good one, for sure, but I still have some doubts on the eagle.

Also, it should have an RZM marking in the inside
As for the worth, it should something around 600/700€ in that condition
Oh christ, that's a lot.
Heres a picture of the inside, is the marking missing?

Ouch, that a bad sign, the interior should look like this :

All I know is that the skull symbol stands for jewhunters.
Damn, it's been like that since we've had it.
The stitching being there might point towards it genuine though
