Title pretty much says it all. Previously, I used SUPER, but I heard it was ridden with malaware. What would you guys suggest as far as converters go?

I use the same thing. There's AnyAudioConverter, which can do other formats besides mp3s, live .wavs, and it's made by the same people who make AnyVideoConverter. Both work very well.
