Hey Facepunchers, I need a new computer for gaming and general everyday use. So far I have decided on several things: 1 Terabyte Black Caviar Western Digital Intel MOBO & Processor G-Skill DDR3 8GB RAM Regular CD-DVD burner/reader 650-750 WATT PSU I have an Antex 900 case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021&cm_sp=Cat_Computer_Cases-_-Spotlight-_-11-129-021 I havn't been keeping up with the new GPU's that have been coming out so I don't know what is the best-cheapest on the market. I also have a monitor, a mouse, a keyboard, and an OS to use I play games from steam like Borderlands, Skyrim, Diablo, etc. etc. I'm hoping to keep the budget within 900USD. Thanks for all your help in advance!
Make sure that PSU has a good 12V rail to sustain the GPU loads. Since you'll go with intel, i suggest you an nvidia GPU. Maybe the newest ones (670, 680) will be eventually a bit out of budget, so i'll recommend you to get a 560.
That's what I was thinking with the PSU and the GPU. I didn't know the specific model for it though. I was thinking either the i5-2600k (sandybridge?) or maybe one of the older i7's.

If you go with 2011 socket you'll have some decent i7's at a good price, like the i7-3820
Well, both are flexible, I'll go with whatever suggestions I get here. The only thing I have bought so far is the case (it was a present from my uncle as I had told him I was building a PC). So, as long as both mobo and CPU fit it's fine
i7's are more for people who need processing speed for video rendering and stuff. I have an i5 2500k and a nvidia geforce 560 ti, which can handle all of the games you listed quite well. You should check out the pc building subsection in the forums, there's a lot of talk about similar computers in your price range
i5-3570k and any Z77 motherboard. The i5 is only around $190 at Microcenter and you get $50 off Z77 motherboards, so if you have one of those around you get it from there. Either wait a couple months for the mid range Kepler cards to be released such as the 660 Ti or get a GTX 560 Ti 448 or GTX 570. Another alternative for current gen would be getting a 7850 or 7870.
