• Three monitor display setup not working.

I just got a third monitor for my desk. I set it up but it doesn't connect. Catalyst Control center recognizes it, as well as windows. But it won't enable. If I disable one of my other displays, I can enable it. Anyway to get around this? I'm running a Radeon HD 7950, The two working monitors are hooked up to HDMI and DVI, the non working one is hooked up to Mini-Display port.
are you using an adapter for that display port?
What ports are there on the GPU? I know that some ATI cards only work with certain ports for multi monitor set ups. Example - out of 2 DVI ports, HDMI and mini display only the DVI and HDMI would work together, and attempting to use the mini display would result in a blank screen. I have a 7950 at the moment and have no problems with multiple monitors. Also do you know if your card can support more than 2 monitors at once?
I checked, and the 7950 requires the third monitor to be on the display port are you using a passive adapter from display port to something?
It's probably not enabled yet, are you using Eyefinity setup or just on Extend? If you use Eyefinity, hit Windows key + P and set to Extend, it MIGHT kick in the display.
I think I have the same problem. I have a 7870 and 2 monitors works fine but the third that runs on Display port wont work unless I turn one of the other ones off. If I understand right I (we?) need a Active display port adapter and apparently they are not so cheap. I found it out here http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/363062-33-monitor-wont-enable
Well, I can just say too be kind. I bought a Active display port adapter and now all my monitors works perfect. So if it is (was?) the same problem I had the adapter helped.
