Firefox doesn't store history and I cant add sites to favorites

When I updated Firefox to 3.6 it deleted all my page history and favourites. And now it doesn't store the history anymore, and I cant add websites to favorites. It makes visiting my favourite sites really hard. So, what can I do to fix this ?
Bump, because I still didn't fix this
Try deleting the firefox profile folder, and running firefox in safe mode.
