Whats the legal drinking age there? I checked Wikipedia and it said 16 for beer (I want to go to Oktoberfest this year), is that true?
Nobody at Oktoberfest will give a fuck how old you are. Drink up buddy.
thats the spirit

but seriously, whats the drinking age?
pretty sure drinking age applies to where your passport is from.
From america, be 21.
fuck, really? but then why do drunk and horny teenagers always drive up to canada to get beers when they're 18?
[del]Last time I was in Germany was 2007 and back then it was 16, but I heard they had plans to raise this to 18.[/del] And no it is not dependent on your passport, laws apply to the current place, not your origin.
In most cases indeed people will not care (unless you're like 5 years old) but I wouldn't completely count on that, some venues can be strict(and Germany is strict with it's laws).
Well I checked it up and basically beer is legal to drink and to be sold to everyone above 16.
-snip-
Just out of curiosity OP, how old are you?
Google says the answer, but you still asked Facepunch?
Are you kidding me? :v:
I do believe it varies from state to state, but in most cases (if not all) it is 16.
I've been to Germany with school this year, I was allowed to drink a beer after showing my pass. (I was sixteen at the time.) A friend of mine who was 15 had to buy a coke, though, so I'm fairly certain the drinking age is 16, unless they raised it since. (Which would surprise me, considering this was about six months ago.)

No, that's not true. All Wikipedia writers are liars. Never read Wikipedia. It's all a big lie.

Stupid jerkbag
The legal drinking age is 16 in Germany.
16 for beer.
18 for liquor, though nobody will hardly care if you cheat on this one.
