Don't cut the price of the system, then; create bundles or deals that are worth getting. And maybe get a game into one of these bundles that is actually worth the $200+ purchase.
Doesn't help that apparently the separately-sold memory cards apparently cost a lot on their own.
The Vita isn't very expensive considering the hardware.
Could have more games though :/
I'd pick up a $199 Vita Slim.
Vita is pretty good for the price
the problem is there just aren't any fucking games out for it worth buying the system over
There's a handful of good games you can get for it, and since launch that list hasn't grown much
I'd gladly pay $250 for a vita if I didn't feel like I'd be investing into a paperweight after a month or two of use. At least with mobile phones, which offer shallower gaming experiences (but some of them are still pretty good), I can use my phone for much much more making it so the device itself isn't useless if there are no games you like on it.
Guess its too early for me to get one then. Either sony needs to build up the vita's game library, or they need a significant price cut.
I agree it's too early, but at least cut the price of the memory cards.

The stuff announced at Gamescom, coupled with the stuff coming out Holiday 2012 makes a Vita seem like a better investment now. It's definitely getting games, but until Assassin's Creed III Liberation, I'm not interested.
