I'm super hyped for this. Not only for sick new gameplay, but the story as well. [sp] Future Billie was shown in The Wyrmwood Deceit, but not really expanded on in the game, so I'm looking forward to hearing about that. [/sp] [sp] It's also slightly disapointing that some of Dishonoured 2's decisions aren't cannon, like preventing Stilton from going to the thing at his place, stopping him going mad and Megan Foster / Billie Lurk from losing her arm & eye [/sp]
The series has been pretty great so far, I have high hopes for this installment.
Please not Void Engine again.
Please not Void Engine again.
Why?
Why?
Inconsistent, shit optimization, graphical bugs, spec demands too high. Dishonored 2 still runs like shit on many PCs but the worst is that it is soooo inconsistent. It can run well on a PC with 16gb RAM and a 980 but run like shit on a PC with a Titan. back on release it didn't even matter if you changed your graphical settings, it had no impact. And sometimes the game ran better when you set details to high instead of to low. And the engine is at fault for this.

I doubt they'll have two awful optimisation releases on the same engine, so if anything, Void is a better choice. I also doubt they'd be able to release it within this short period it being on the same engine.

Void is a really fucking weird engine, seems to follow along with most iDTech 4 stuff in that performance is almost random. Dishonoured 2 looked really nice, played excellently, but the performance even as of a few months ago left a lot to be desired at times. It kept a stable enough framerate, but I did note some drops in places that should have run much better such as interiors.
