Might be wow, in the WoW RPG 'The Dark Below" refers to a area where demons and devils reside and were necromancers pull some of their power from, also Ozumat, the giant squid we fought in Throne of the Tide had a tag <From the Dark Below>. So could be Naga/Burning legion/Old god expansion.
Also you can tell this author doesn't play WoW and just copy-pasted material, Ozumat was not the final boss of Cata, it was Deathwing, Ozumat was the final boss of a dungeon, Throne of the Tide.

You're absolutely right. I don't play WoW and know very little about it since the release of the vanilla game (I played that for a year). Thanks for pointing out the error. I've updated the post.

Not only that, but [sp]he escapes and kidnaps Neptulon the Tidehunter[/sp]. Also we won't hear anything until Blizzcon 2013 this year, they usually save their announcements until then.

If this is indeed WoW related it won't be until BlizzCon. However, Blizzard teased a big D3 announcement at Gamescom next week so that's more likely.

If this was the name of the D3 expansion, this would have been trademarked months ago.
This actually lines up with the timing of every WoW expansion being trade marked.

It does't line up with the timing of every WoW expansion being trademark compared to that year's BlizzCon, actually. This is the earliest trademark so far if it's for a BlizzCon announced expansion.
WotLK trademarked on 28th of July 2007 with that year's BlizzCon (and WotLK announcement) on August 3. 6 days difference.
Cataclysm trademark went public around July 1st 2009, with the announcement being almost 2 months later at BlizzCon 2009 on August 21st.
MoP trademark went public August 2nd 2011 with the announcement 2 months later at BlizzCon 2011 (October 21nd).
Today is August 13th 2013 and BlizzCon will be starting November 8th 2013, pretty much 3 months away.
This would be the earliest they have ever trademark an expansion.
Not saying you're wrong, just that they probably should have learned by now.
But oh well, it's Blizzard. We still get the F&F alpha leaks from the same place we've got them since The Burning Crusade.
Sounds like Diablo 3 expansion. "World of Warcraft: The Dark Below" just does not sound good at all.
What I'm really hoping for is a completely new IP though.
