So i just put together my computer and surprisingly everything works! I have one 60gb SSD and one 1tb HDD which are both detected in the BIOS boot screen.
I've started installing drivers but i've hit a few snags. A few drivers (namely, the SATA RAID driver, intel VGA driver and the Azalia Audio chip driver) don't install when i try to install them. It simply says "you don't meet the hardware requirements" and quits before i can do anything.
I'm running windows 7 64 bit, here's the driver download page for my mobo: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3856#dl
In addition to not being able to install a few drivers, i can't seem to access the 1tb hard drive. I can see it from the BIOS screen but when i boot to the SSD it doesn't show up when i go to My Computer. Is it because of something i did wrong when installing? I properly hooked up everything apparently since it is visible from the BIOS so something is going wrong i think. Maybe it's because the drivers aren't installing properly?
For the HDD you have to go to 'Create and format hard disk partitions' just search it in the start menu, everything else: I dunno.
Ok so i managed to get the HDD working fine. I'm not even sure i need to install the RAID/VGA drivers since i'm not using RAID and everything else seems to work without the VGA driver.
The drivers included with Windows are designed to give very basic functionality so you can use the computer to get the proper drivers for your hardware. Microsoft has a driver database on Windows Update, but those drivers are often several years old, contain bugs and have severely degraded performance.
I recommend using the drivers that came with the motherboard, or if possible, find out the manufacturer for each device on the board and get the drivers from whoever made it (ie. Intel chipset drivers from intel, Marvell LAN drivers from Marvell, realtek sound drivers from Realtek, etc.)

The VGA driver is probably for onboard video, so you don't need it. The RAID one, I have no idea.
